Adult Snoo Making Waves in Soaker Community
SALT LAKE CITY, UT - The Snoo, a popular bassinet which gently rocks babies to sleep, released a king size version of their bed for adults who have difficulty sleeping. The bed has a responsive AI-driven software which rocks the frame based on the individual’s movements in the bed.
In the few months since this release, Snoo has received an unprecedented number of orders, with beds on back order through the next 3 years. While this bed was intended to help adults with difficulty sleeping, a major portion of sales are going to the ever-growing soaker community.
“I had to look up what soaking was,” said Snoo’s VP of sales Phillip Novak. “But now that I know, it totally makes sense. We never even thought about this market.”
“We’ve been looking for something like this,” said Derek and Lindsay, a young couple at BYU. “We kept having to ask our friends and you could tell they were getting annoyed.”
While this was not the intended use of the adult snoo, Mr. Novak plans to cater more to the soaker market. He is currently redesigning the Snoo to have several custom speed settings, a 4k video recorder, and a built in bluetooth speaker.
Not everyone, however, is supportive of the Snoo’s repurposing.
“There used to be something special about being someone’s jumpman,” said Mitt Romney, Utah Senator and prolific soaker. “When you shook that bed for someone, it meant something. You formed a bond with your friend, your cousin, your wife. The machine removes that personal touch.”
There are certainly questions left to answer regarding the future of soaking and if it chooses to embrace the future of machine shaking. For now, Snoo hopes to take advantage of this market while also reminding everyone you can use this bed just for sleeping too.
